Barclays Premier League Prediction 2011/2012

In truth, I found this very difficult indeed to construct. Throughout the whole of the table there’s massive uncertainties – obviously that’s the nature of a prediction of this ilk, but more so than ever I believe. If you’ve got an opinion, you have no excuse to show it and share it! Please feel free to comment with what you personally think.

    1 - ManUre - blend of youth and experience wins them their 20th
    2 - City (by less than 8)
    3 - Chelski (those old legs got tired done the stretch and Torres is still looking for the broad side of a barn to shoot at)
    4 - Liverpool - the British spine they've put in place, the fuller squad, young players and fearsome strike force will blow away the "smaller clubs" this year and they will be very competitive with Chelski all season. They just don't have enough to crack the top 3 unless injuries come into play.
    5 - Arsenal - what can you say? watching the destruction of a proud team is sad. I think they will be in a dog fight with Everton for Europa League entry.
    6 - Everton - David Moyes gets the best out of every single player he has, and sometimes he borders on genius. I think he has enough in his team to beat out Spurs is Tottenham doesn't do anything dramatic. If Spurs lose Modric or Bale, they are probably no better than a top 10 team.
    7 - Tottenham - why 7th? Only because no one else in the pack has enough to catch them yet. If they lose Modric the rest will follow, a la Newcastle.

    As for the rest, I wish them the best of luck.

    Oh, relegation?

    18th - Newcastle - most of the team's first XI are gone or leaving. Morale is non-existent. Players have publicly slammed ownership for not re-investing the Carroll money, and they're right. The fans are ready to protest Mike Ashley, again, and I just don't think anyone wants to be there. Fans included. You can't win matches in that atmosphere.

    19th - Blackburn - the Venky's experiment has been a complete debacle, and it won't get any better for Steve Kean. He's lost his best defender, he has virtually no budget, and his team is on the phone to their collective agents going "get me out of here now!"

    20th - QPR, for too many reasons to list without getting bored and tired.
