Things I’ve Thunk: Inc. Royal Wedding Shizzle

• The new Foo Fighters album, Wasting Light, really is rather very good. If you’ve got some spare time and a long attention span, check out my longwinded review in my previous blog post. Then tell me I can’t review for toffee. Which is fine, because I’m not reviewing for anything right now. I do like toffee though…
• The Royal Wedding is ridiculously overhyped. If you don’t agree with me, take a trip down to your local Poundland or 99p Store and take a proper gander at their Royal Wedding merchandise. All unofficial, and all monstrously garish. The uselessness of all these products doesn’t even need to be spoken of…Prince William plastic plates, anyone? Thought as much. Still, we get an extra day of holiday, so I shouldn’t go complaining; that said, I’m not afraid of saying that I really couldn’t care less about the wedding itself.
• I should either be getting stuck into some college work, or helping around the house for when the family cover right now. I’m doing neither.
• Procrastination is not only a great practice, but also a great word.
• I’m sort of happy that that scummy Manchester team knocked that other scummy Manchester team out of the FA Cup. If only it were possible for both teams to lose the game.
• El Classico! The first Real Madrid/Barcelona derby (despite not being remotely geographically close to each other, inside Spain at least) of 4 within the space of 2 weeks was played last night. 1-1 it finished at the Bernabeu, and you can’t help but feel as though being 8 points clear, Barca have all but clinched the title. Up until that game, Lionel Messi had never scored against Real Madrid, and Cristiano Ronaldo had never scored against Barcelona. Both scored from the penalty spot. Funny shit.
• I need more credit for my mobile, again. It’s times like these I start to think I’d be far better off on contract, but I just can’t keep up with the running costs. Monthly payments do not bode well with the unemployed.
• Rumours of a ‘Wii 2’ are beginning to surface, and my excitement is very much overpowered by worry. It’s Nintendo though…if anyone can pull off something weird and obscure, it’s those guys. Genius.
• To state something obvious, I really do hate missing people. I’ve had to miss someone way too often recently. Roll on Kelling Heath on Tuesday!
• I wish the sky and grass were different colours, because I’m getting damn bored of them now. What if they could change colour at random? Like those terrible fibre optic Christmas trees…just not terrible, or fibre optic, or a Christmas tree for that matter. New colours please.
